Our Story

Essential Life Church

Out of a desire to return to being the church the way God intended and how the early church did, Essential Life was birthed.

In the scriptures, we see a church that is powerful, relational, authentic, generous, and agile. Acts 2:42-47 gives us a picture of how the church met in homes, ate together, and devoted themselves to teaching and to prayer. They became ONE moving body.

At Essential Life, church is not a building or a place we go, but it is followers of Jesus on a mission. We desire to accomplish the mission that God left us in Matthew 28:19-20.

We are a “Church of House Churches”. We gather to grow in relationship with God and one another.

We gather in smaller groups in House Churches throughout the week, corporately on Sundays, and in ongoing relationships beyond the structure of church.

We are a Free Methodist community, aiming to Love God, Love People, and Make disciples.

We DISTRIBUTE leadership into DIVERSE discipleship communities.

Our intent is to always LEAD with PRAYER, be unashamedly BIBLICAL, radically GENEROUS, and live in intentional COMMUNITY.

We are an organism, not an organization. We believe that Christ changes lives, and that His church can be the most powerful influence of love and change on the planet.

Our Vision is to be living proof of a loving God to a watching world. We accomplish this through the power of community.
